As the Motown movie movement continues, on June 3, 2010 Steve Not Sleep Films will roll out the red carpet at the Emagine Theater Novi for official Detroit premier of Behind the Shallow Mind, a dramatic thriller written and directed by Steve Horn.

What is behind the shallow mind? Nothing but wrong turns and bad decisions.

Behind the Shallow Mind is the gripping tale of Terri, a young woman who decides to forego the use of her education in favor of getting fast money in the streets, and Drake, a street savvy media salesman, who meet in the heat of a bad situation. As luck would have it, her desire to make easy money quickly turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse when group of thugs make plans of their own and the doomed star-struck lovers find themselves in a race for their very lives.

What then ensues is a mind-bending ride that will take you through an unforgettable cast of characters that will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat.

Behind the Shallow Mind stars Iken B. Jackson, Sharmaine Nicholson, Jason Wimberly, Taneisha Lockwood, DaShanta West, Fanar Zora, Sherman Eaton and LaDonna Graham, and is an official selection of the 2010 San Francisco Black and Trinity Film Coalition Film Festivals.

This premier will take place at the Emagine Theater Novi, located at 44425 W. 12 Mile Rd, Novi, MI. The red carpet ceremony will begin at 7:30pm and the film screening will begin at 8pm.
